Good morning TV land!

Hey, this Benny Polkinator coming at ya. It's been a while since I've written in blog. I used to have one in high school and I tried finding it, but it was nowhere to be found.

I'll typically write about my interest in college and professional sports. For those who don't know, I used to to write sports articles for yearbook and newspaper in middle school and high school.

I may also discuss how my life is going in general...how my job is doing, my walk with God, and my relationships.

Currently, I am teaching 6th and 7th grade English and Literature at Thompkins Middle School. Thompkins is a wonderful school and I am extremely fortunate to be there. I have an Elementary license, so I'll need to get college credit to continue teaching at this level. I'm leaning on getting my credits (9 or 10 hopefully) at the University of Evansville. It will be more expensive than say, USI, but less credit hours (by 11 or 12).

Current sports news....I'm salivating because of the time of the year with everything going on: Fall Classic, college football, NBA, and college basketball right around the corner!

Fall Classic: As you all know, I'm a enormous Oakland A's fan (since I was 5). They didn't make the postseason this year. I've predicted all year that the Yankees would win it all this year. They're in the World Series against the Phillies. I predict NYY will win the Series in 7 games. So far, the pitching has been the story. I expect the bats to come alive tonight in game 3 on Halloween, even with the two southpaws on the mound (Hamels and Pettitte). I predict the Yankees win 9-8.

Purdue is currently getting beat by Wisconsin 10-0. The Badgers have been reeling and the Boilers have been surging. But, so far, Wisky has the advantage.

NBA: I'm excited the season has started! I like the Phoenix Suns because I love watching Steve Nash play. I also like A'mare Stoudamire. I used to be an Atlanta Hawks fan when "The Human Highlight Film" Dominique Wilkins played. But, the NBA is different than baseball for some reason. I just don't have it in me to root for the Hawks, whether they're good or they're terrible.
My top 5 teams this year in descending order: 1) Lakers 2) Spurs 3) Celtics 4) Cavs 5) Magic

College basketball: If you know me well enough, you'll know I'm most excited about this. Since I graduated from Purdue, the Boilermakers are my team! We made it to the Sweet Sixteen last year, but we have greater expectations this year. It should be a fun year with JaJuan, E'twaun, Keaton, Rob, and Chris leading the way. First preseason game: Tuesday night. UE plays today.

My birthday is next Saturday, 11/7. Peace out friends.
